In the midst of the catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian activist has revealed a painful and horrifying reality concerning humanitarian aid distribution. She describes it as the "original version of Squid Game," now playing in Gaza under the name "Death Traps." This game, seemingly produced by the "Gaza Humanitarian Organization," requires participants to overcome deadly challenges to reach their goal: a morsel of food.
Harrowing Testimonies from the Heart of Suffering
Alarming accounts continue to emerge, exposing the false claims of humanitarian aid and revealing how it's been transformed into deadly traps:
The Palestinian Activist's Account:
The young Palestinian woman sarcastically described the situation, noting that while we may have played many games, we certainly haven't seen the original version of "Squid Game" in Gaza. The activist asserted that the supposed relief organization "is not humanitarian in any way, shape, or form." She questioned the dignity and humanity in the scene of aid scattered on the ground, with people scrambling for it in humiliation and degradation.
The young woman detailed the organization's operations in several shocking points:
Distant and Dangerous Distribution Points: She explained that there are four distribution points, three of which are very far from where people reside. To reach them, individuals are forced to go out at night, sleep on the street, and walk very long distances to be among the first to arrive.
Chaotic Distribution and Lack of Justice: There's no system or fairness in the distribution; everyone runs and pushes—women, children, elderly men. Even worse, "some return carried on carts of death" after these tragic struggles.
Authorization for Indiscriminate Firing: The activist revealed that staff at the organization are authorized to fire indiscriminately at unarmed civilians, which has led to "over 650 martyrs and more than 4,000 injured within two months of this mechanism being implemented."
Why Not UNRWA? The activist questioned, "If the goal was to help the people of Gaza, why wasn't the task handed over to specialized bodies like UNRWA, which has prior experience in this matter?" She noted that UNRWA uses a system of delegates responsible for each residential area, where the delegate distributes aid based on the identity of the head of household and family size. This ensures every home receives a food ration "without humiliation, fear, or stampede, and most importantly, without death."
Occupation Prevents Aid from Reaching Competent Authorities: The activist concluded by asserting that the occupation prevents aid from reaching these competent authorities and hands it over to "an alternative, heavily armed organization that distributes death and fear."
Accounts from Social Media Activists:
Corroborating the activist's statements, many social media users revealed the "depravity of the Zionist occupation in distributing aid, which has become stained with the blood of those stampeding":
Abu Saleh: "Squid Game" Becomes a Reality in Gaza: Abu Saleh wrote about a similar game used for indiscriminate killing, where "whoever survives the bullets and killing gets food." He described it as: "'SQUID GAME' has become a reality in Gaza at the hands of the dirtiest occupation in history. Humanity has never known anything worse than what is happening, even in the darkest ages of ignorance and injustice."
Mohammed Haniyeh: "Mirage of Aid" and "Execution Guillotine": Mohammed Haniyeh pointed to "a new form of war on Gaza: the 'mirage of aid' to attract the largest number of residents in a humiliating and degrading way, and place them at the 'execution guillotine' of killing and injury." He explained that this is "a new societal engineering by the occupation to achieve objectives of societal fragmentation, pushing it towards paths of chaos, lawlessness, and conflict for a livelihood."
Tamer: "Daily Race" and "Deliberate Chaos": Tamer wrote about the "daily race" to obtain a bite to silence hunger, stating: "This is the 'humanitarian' method that Israel and its American mercenaries claim for distributing food." He described it as "a competition among Gaza residents; whoever was stronger and younger succeeded in getting food." He continued: "They created chaos, and told them: You have a short time before we shoot and kill you, go! And this is the result."
What is happening in Gaza transcends all bounds of humanity, transforming the most basic right to live into a deadly game, where unarmed civilians pay with their lives for their daily bread. Will there be a awakening of conscience to stop these "death traps"
