Brazilian striker Gremio, a Uruguayan, responded on the news of Luis Suarez's move to Inter Miami to join old colleague Lionel Messi.
After the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in France, Messi revealed a few days ago that he would be joining the ranks of Inter Miami.
"Going to Inter Miami is impossible," Suarez stated in comments to the Uruguayan daily "El Observador," "because I am pleased at Gremio and I have a contract until the summer of 2024."
Suarez's contract with Gremio (which he has had for 36 years) contains a penalty clause, so his exit won't be simple.
Englishman David Beckham, one of Inter Miami's owners, has frequently indicated that he wants to integrate Messi and Suarez on his squad.
