On Sunday, French bakers baked the world's tallest baguette. With a total length of 140.53 metres, he restored the record set by Italy five years earlier.
In the Ceolin district of Paris, they began making longer loaves of traditional bread. The French Federation of Baking and Pastry Chefs held approximately 235 events.
The longest French bread was previously recorded in Italy. It was built in June 2019 in Como and is 132.62 meters long.
French bakers begin preparing and shaping the bread at three in the morning, then place it in an oven specially designed for this purpose.
Anthony Arrigo, one of the bakers, said after the Guinness World Records jury approved the bread. "We checked everything. We are all very happy that we were able to break this record and do it in France."
